Austin Labor Day eventsThis year on Lake Austin will be the inaugural Cowabunga Cruise. This 90s themed party will be from 12:30 pm to 4:30 pm, Sunday September 6th. Get on board and enjoy great food, an open bar, a DJ and dancing, raffles, swimming and even a lip sync contest. Boarding will start at 12 pm. Tickets are $60 until August 24th and $65 after. At the door, tickets are $75 if it doesn’t sell out by then. There is also an after-party from 5 pm to 2 am at the Karma Lounge. The Party-Bargefest 2k15 is another great boat party on Lake Travis.

If you’re looking for some laughs this labor day, the Out of Bounds Comedy Festival is seven days of live performances. There will be improv, sketch and stand-up comedy from all over the country. With 120 shows and 500 performers you can choose to watch all of it or just bits and pieces. There is also a mini-golf tournament! From September 1 to September 7 there will be performances and tickets at The Hideout Theatre (Upstairs and Downstairs), Coldtowne Theater, Stateside at the Paramount, The New Movement, The Velveeta Room, Spider House Ballroom, Austin Java and Google Fiber Space. This is one of the Austin Labor Day events that you will never forget. Tickets range in price from about $35 to $129.
